Three brothers in Germany went all out to rig up a haunted house attraction in their basement! They only have two rooms, and one is for a video introduction and for exiting, so they created a maze in the other room with seven sections of thrills. There are a lot of moving parts here. Each section has a single spooky effect, whether store bought or hand made. No costumed actors are involved. Some of the effects are triggered by an operator hiding in the room, while others are controlled remotely as hidden cameras tell the operator where the guest is. One even uses a trip wire! You have to wonder how many people it takes to operate the tour, although I suspect they've worked it out so that the three brothers can do it by multitasking.
After the build process is explained, we get a nicely shot walk-through tour. This is the kind of home addition that will get you a reputation in the neighborhood. -via reddit ā
