An Airbnb rental can be a hotel, someone's home, a room in a building shared with other guests, or a bed and breakfast. A lot of historic buildings can be rented out through Airbnb, and the older one is, the more likely it is to be haunted by the spirit of a former resident with unfinished business. If you like your getaway weekends with a bit of dread, check out the some really old rentals that have a history of unexplained phenomena. Shown above is the New Boston Inn in Sandisfield, Massachusetts. It it has not been "new" since it was built in 1737.
Built in 1737 as a revolutionary training ground, this haunted inn is encapsulated by three mountains and two rivers and also has gardens to sit in. Visitors often hear voices of ‘Harriet’, a bride who was shot dead by her ex-boyfriend in her wedding in 1805 and since then it has been a hotspot of paranormal activities.
This list of the ten most haunted Airbnbs is mostly very old houses with stories behind their hauntings, or in the case of a Savannah home, in an area known for ghosts. There's also one tiny home with few amenities, but a spooky Halloween decor and a Ouija board. You might get some ideas for a thrilling road trip!
