Mary Simmons of Piqua, Ohio, is a huge fan of Halloween. Last fall, she bought a nearly ten-foot-tall statue of a werewolf to decorate her lawn. But when Halloween was over, she didn't put him away. Where would she put him? Simmons decided to keep the statue up, and dresses him for various holidays. Some of her neighbors have a problem with that, and the City of Piqua left a notice for Simmons to remove the statue. Other neighbors are fine with it, and the werewolf, named Phil, has his fans. Phil even has his own Facebook page! Simmons says that the statue is no danger to anyone, and will remain in her front yard. The city had decided not to pursue the matter, and said Simmons is allowed to leave her werewolf up.
Meanwhile, Simmons is thinking ahead. The werewolf is now dressed in patriotic colors for the Fourth of July, but she is looking for a Pilgrim or turkey costume for him when Thanksgiving comes around. -via reddit ā
