St. Helens, Oregon, is known as a Halloween town. They are so into Halloween that they actually have a month-long event celebrating the holiday. The event is known as <a href="https://spiritofhalloweentown.com/" class="on">Spirit of Halloweentown</a>. The festivities start mid-September and run through October 31 with more 50,000 people a year attending.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;If the name Halloweentown sounds familiar to you, it should. Halloweentown is the title of the 1998 Disney Channel Original movie starring Debbie Reynolds and Kimberly J. Brown. The film about a girl who learns that she is part witch, has become a bit of a Halloween classic.&nbsp;What’s St. Helen’s connection to the film? Halloweentown was filmed in St. Helens and neighboring Scappoose. Halloweentown fans are sure to recognize the iconic town square and City Hall.
